ST MARY’S PARISH INCOME AND THE CORONAVIRUS – AN UPDATE (6/4/20)

COLLECTIONS UPDATE

Some parishioners have had problems setting up standing orders or payments to the church account due to the name to account number check recently introduced by the banks. Through the Archdiocese, Barclays bank have confirmed that the account name is ‘Parish of St Mary Monmouth‘ (not as per bank statement!).

Easter Offerings: Parishioners who wish to do so and have the facilities, can also make these payments online by adding Easter to the payment reference. We will then be able to ensure that the money gets to Fr Nicholas. Because of the Covid 19 restrictions, we would strongly discourage persons from leaving cash/cheques at the Church or presbytery. If you are unable or unwilling to use internet banking, please hold any monies until restrictions are lifted.

100 Club: Because of the current situation, the first of the 4 draws due last month has been postponed. It will be made as soon as circumstances allow. We do, of course, confirm that all four will be held this year!

It is understandable that in these uncertain times people may not be in a position to give as generously as they normally do and thus the Parish income is likely to fall as a result.
