Cancer Research 100 Mile Walk Fund Raising Challenge

Dear Parishioners,
It was great to be able to spend a couple of days in the area recently and to be able to meet some of you again …..there is never enough time to see everyone but …..Please God…… I will be back again in the not-too-distant future. I want to take this opportunity to thank so many of you who have continued to support me since I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer nearly 4 years ago; via emails and most of all via your prayers and the Masses I know have been offered on my behalf.

Despite currently receiving my 4th line of chemotherapy, I am so fortunate to still be Blessed with good energy levels. So much so, that I decided to put this to good use when the Cancer Research organisation advertised a fund-raising opportunity and issued a challenge to walk 100 miles during the month of June. I completed the 100-mile walk successfully (in fact I managed 112!) as I wanted to raise as much money as possible for the organisation. I for one, have many reasons for being very grateful for their wonderful work and I suspect that many of you will have experienced cancer yourselves or know of someone who has had / is currently in treatment for cancer. Absolutely no obligation but.a donation of just £2 would be greatly appreciated as every penny helps and makes a difference to the amount of money raised overall. This will ensure that the researchers can continue
to use their God Given Gifts to create new life saving treatments in the future.

Many thanks for your ongoing support and above all your prayers. To me, St Frances of Rome and St Mary’s Monmouth will always be very special Parishes.

God Bless
